| UAG Monarch Innovative construction, composed of 5 protective layers 5 LAYERS OF SHOCK ABSORPTION The UAG Monarch construction is composed of 5 layers which, when combined, create a synergistic mechanism for complete shock absorption, including a shock-resistant core, a characteristic armored frame covered with DuPont ⢠Kevlar® material, polycarbonate shear plate and impact resistant rubber surround. PREMIUM MATERIAL Monarch is covered with DuPont Kevlar®, a material that provides the industry's best protection. Kevlar is characterized by resistance to high temperatures, and its unique structure of numerous inter-chain bonds ensures extraordinary durability. KEVLAR fibers are so tightly woven that separating them is almost impossible. That's why KEVLAR is used to produce bulletproof vests. When a bullet or other high-velocity projectile hits the surface of a material, its fibers stop it, absorbing and dissipating the force of the impact.
